Four years ago, Star Wars Galaxies Restoration launched to a highly anticipated, albeit chaotic, start. We often forget that the original Combat Upgrade era lasted a mere 200 days –And by the end of 2021, SWG Restoration had surpassed that milestone. Since then, we have been venturing into uncharted territory furthering the game in the spirit of the Combat Upgrade.
Together, we have built a vibrant community filled with unforgettable moments and a shared history. We’ve seen guilds rise and fall—like the mighty NIKE and formidable CLAW. Cloned through the infamous Kashyyyk Corn Forage Worm incident. Puzzled over mysterious Meroj Melons and chased phantom ambient events. Faced an absolutely unstoppable Carb-Mando builds. Fought through epic GCW battles that are now bonafide legends. Laughed through the server-wide "Fattening" image design incident. Witnessed creatures trash talking Jedi. These are your stories -and are retold in cantinas across the Galaxy.
This past year saw major progress toward advancing the CU alternate timeline - Jedi and the Village, Heroics and jewelry sets as well as flavorful additions to the game such as the Ace of Aces lounge, instance modes, Marauders Theme Park, a combat overhaul, skill tree flexibility, vehicle customization, among many others.
As we look forward to another exciting year, there is much to come just over the horizon. The icy landscapes of Hoth and the contested streets of Restuss are nearly ready, while the neon-lit alleys of Nar Shaddaa continue to take shape. Our developers and staff have grown into a seasoned, cohesive team, working more efficiently and creatively than ever before.
Today, as SWG Restoration celebrates four unforgettable years, we extend our heartfelt thanks to our amazing community and dedicated staff. To everyone who's explored, crafted, fought, and joined us in reliving the incredible journey that is Star Wars Galaxies. Here’s to more epic adventures, lasting friendships, and creating new stories together in a Galaxy far, far away..
